We could not do it without you.
The United Way of Northern Arizona is truly grateful to you for helping make lasting changes in community conditions. Here’s some of the amazing things you helped accomplish in 2017:
You made sure 267 children were part of KinderCamp™ this summer. This friendly, supportive “boot camp” makes sure that pre-schoolers in Flagstaff, Lakeside, Page, Williams and Winslow are academically, emotionally and socially prepared for their first day in Kindergarten. Because of you, hundreds of children were not only ready but excited to go to school.
You ensured that almost 2,900 northern Arizonan families kept more of their income by supporting the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. Special thanks to our VITA volunteers whose work resulted in more than $4 million in refunds, including $1.7 million in Earned Income Tax Credits. That is money that stays in the community and helps these families sustain financial stability.
You helped children discover the joy of reading by receiving a monthly gift of a book from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
And you supported dozens of service organizations – our agency partners – in Coconino, Navajo and Apache counties, including literacy programs, homeless shelters, children’s activities, mental health providers and more.
For 50 years, UWNA has only been able to exist and support other nonprofits because of your generous hearts, and we thank you again from the bottom of ours.
