The United Way of Northern Arizona is looking for some fun-loving volunteers to help us with two events this month: the Little America Holiday of Lights on Wednesday, November 14, and the Mountain Campus Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair at Northern Arizona University the weekend of November 17-18.
Both events are once again benefiting the United Way of Northern Arizona and we are profoundly grateful to Little America and NAU for their support. Here’s the details:
Tree lighting festivities at Little America volunteer positions:
- Greeters – giving directions to all activities
- Train Line – Collect money for the Kiddie Kaboose (this is an outdoor activity, make sure to wear something warm!)
- Raffle Table – collect money and distribute tickets
- Balloon Design & Face Painting booths – collect money and help with lines
Shifts are 90 minutes to 2 hours (depending on the activity) and will occur between 4 and 7:45 pm. You can also volunteer for the entire time. Little America is located at 2515 E. Butler Ave.
Craft fair at Northern Arizona University volunteer positions:
- Entrance Table – collect entry fees
- Raffle Table – collect money and distribute tickets
- Floor Cover & Relief Booth – providing comfort breaks for vendors
Shifts are 9 to 11 am; 11 am to 1 pm, 1 to 3 pm, and 3 pm to 5 pm on Saturday, November 17. On Sunday, shifts are 10 am to Noon, Noon to 2 pm and 1 to 3 pm. The craft fair will be DuBois Ballroom on the south part of campus.
