Dolly Colored

Greetings!

I hope you and your nearest and dearest are enjoying a wonderful holiday season.
I wanted to reach out to you personally to ask for your support to sustain the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL).
You’ll be ensuring that more than 1,400 young children from birth to age 5 in Coconino, Apache and Navajo counties continue to receive a new book every month to encourage reading. That’s 16,000 books a year!
Being read to or having a small child be able to flip through a book and look at the pictures are key behaviors that foster literacy. They teach children how to “operate” a book, and that amazing images and stories are waiting for them between the covers.
Support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library HERE

United Way of Northern Arizona is in the middle of a $45,000 campaign for DPIL to cover the cost for a year of the program. We’ve raised just over $10,000 so far and could use your help.

Remember, your donation to UWNA and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library is eligible for the state of Arizona charitable tax credit. Anything you give up to $400 for an individual and $800 for couples filing jointly can be taken as a tax credit on your 2018 state taxes.
We know from your past support how important uniting for an educated and thriving community is to you. Your donation to DPIL program is a win for our community’s youngest children.
You can donate safely and securely here.
Thanks again!

P.S. We wanted to give a special shout out to Tim Kinney and the entire KCS team, who gave a sizable donation to start off our $45,000 campaign for DPIL. Click below to learn more about why Tim and KCS are big fans of UWNA and its work with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
