United Way of Northern Arizona opens grant applications for 2025-2027

Applications Due by March 31st

FLAGSTAFF — United Way of Northern Arizona (UWNA), in partnership with the City of Flagstaff and Coconino County, will open its 2025-2027 grant application process on March 3, 2025. Applications are due by March 31 at 11:59 pm.

This funding cycle includes UWNA’s Community Investment Fund, as well as grant opportunities from the City of Flagstaff and Coconino County. Grants will be awarded for one year, with a potential one- year extension, subject to fund availability and program performance.

Eligibility Requirements:

Any social services 501(c)(3) nonprofit in good standing with the IRS that meets UWNA’s eligibility criteria is encouraged to apply. Full eligibility details are available on the UWNA website.

Mandatory Training:

All applicants must attend the required training sessions via Zoom on February 27 at 1 pm OR March 4 at 1 pm. These sessions will cover the application process, provide tips for success, and include a Q&A segment. Nonprofits can register for this session below:

Program Priorities:

Applications must align with UWNA’s priorities in Youth Opportunity, Healthy Communities, and

Financial Security. Focus areas include:

Early Childhood Development: Kindergarten readiness and literacy.

Positive Youth Development: Mental well-being, resilience, leadership development, and

college/career readiness.

Basic Needs: Safe shelter, food security, childcare, and medication assistance.

Financial Security: Financial literacy and workforce development.
