Tackling transportation trials

NAU professor Brendan Russo is part of an innovative new research center, led by the Arizona Department of Transportation, looking at ways to make transportation in the state more sustainable, affordable and efficient. The Arizona Transportation Institute, which includes all three state universities, also will help prepare the next generation of transportation engineers.

Incoming first-year students for the 2025-26 school year can apply for the scholarship by submitting a 250-word essay describing the impact their college degree will have on both their personal trajectory and the Hispanic community at large.
