International Women’s Day—Memorializing outstanding historical and contemporary figures

NAU’s Department of Women’s and Gender Studies has crowd-sourced a list of outstanding historical and contemporary figures who advocated for women’s rights and human rights across all conceivable fields of intellectual, political, medical and artistic endeavors from different geographical locations. From artists to authors to protestors, these women are recognized for their contribution to human history.

Community health workers improve health for mothers and babies

Community health workers play a unique role in rural health care; they go into clients’ homes, go with them to medical appointments, educate clients and provide support for them. And the results are clear: they improve the community they help.

Air Force helicopter “Road Show”

On Thursday, a UH 1N Huey helicopter from the 512th Rescue Squadron landed at Observatory Field. ROTC cadets toured the aircraft and had discussions with the military personnel about their careers.
