🎓 A long journey to the graduation stage 🎓
In 2019, a clinical psychology program shut down almost overnight, leaving students scrambling for alternatives so they didn’t lose all the work they’d done thus far. After appealing to NAU, College of Education leadership sprang into motion, creating a doctoral program the next semester and giving 43 students the option to continue their education in Phoenix. This May, the first five students of that class are graduating. For them, the accomplishment isn’t just earning their doctorates and becoming clinical psychologists—it’s doing so amid the challenges of their education being totally upended halfway through.
