Making educational access a national mission

The art of fighting an ‘Invisible War’

Art is the world’s universal language. Oftentimes, it can be more powerful and transformative than any combination of words. In hopes of creating a new way for the public to better understand medical diagnoses, a tri-university collaboration partnered university researchers with local artists to communicate their areas of study through art. Clinical professors Gretchen Bachman and Cindy C. Ivy in NAU’s Department of Occupational Therapy partnered with artist Bill Dambrova to visually depict Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. The result, which was unveiled at the exhibition’s soft opening on Friday, is better than they could have ever imagined.

JacksCard available to students on Android phones

NAU-Flagstaff students can now add their JacksCard to their Android devices to access the same services available through their physical card including Campus Dining, building access, Campus Recreation facilities, copy and printing, bookstore purchases, library materials check out, special events and more.
