Temporary suspension of Flagstaff residential trash and recycling collection service

FLAGSTAFF — Due to inclement weather conditions and limited accessibility, the City of Flagstaff’s Solid Waste section has temporarily suspended residential trash and recycling collection services as of Wednesday, Feb. 22. At this time, commercial trash and recycling containers continue to be serviced, where accessible.

Residential collection services are anticipated to resume Thursday morning (Feb. 23). Service will remain on a delayed schedule for the remainder of the week. If possible, residents are asked to wait to place their carts out for service until 6 a.m. Thursday morning to allow for more efficient snow clearing operations. Please place residential carts in front of snow piles, on the curb, or at the end of cleared driveways to facilitate access. Carts placed on or behind snow piles will not be serviced due to accessibility issues.

Commercial customers with metal bins are asked to clear the front of their containers and enclosure gates to ensure serviceability. City trucks require fourteen (14) feet of clearance width to access metal bins.

To report missed containers, please email solidwastesolutions@flagstaffaz.gov or call 928-213-2110.

The Cinder Lake Landfill and Hazardous Products Center remain open during normal hours of operations.
