Northern Arizona University’s Cline Library celebrates Women’s History Month with ‘Spotlight on Dolores Huerta’

. . . As much as Dolores Huerta was Cesar’s right hand she could also be the greatest thorn in his side. The two were infamous for their blow out arguments an element that was a natural part of their working relationship. Dolores viewed this as a healthy and necessary part of the growth process of any worthwhile collaboration. Board of Supervisors Approves Proclamation Designating March as Women’s History Month

“Coconino County is proud to join the nation’s celebration of Women’s History Month,” the proclamation reads. “The 2023 theme ‘Celebrating Women who Tell our Stories’… is a tribute and recognition of women, past and present who have been active on all forms of media telling stories that have significantly impacted our communities in areas of social justice, labor rights, gender, human and political rights.”

Grand Canyon Weekly Wrap-up: March 7-11, 2022

March is Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month and a time for us to honor and celebrate the many women who have helped to shape our nation and the National Park Service. The national theme for Women’s History Month in 2022 explores the role of women of all cultures in providing both healing and hope throughout history.

In honor of International Women’s Day on March 8, we would like to highlight the great feat of accomplishing goals and dreams, specifically one woman’s journey of doing it by herself.
