Coconino County Provides Superior Court and Health Services in Page on Dec.5

PAGE — The Superior Court in Coconino County and Coconino County Health and Human Services (CCHHS) are hosting an event at the Page Justice Facility, 547 Vista Ave., in Page, Arizona on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event provides residents of Page and neighboring areas with the opportunity to receive important services without traveling to Flagstaff. Registration is not required.

Tse’Yaato’ High School Ranked in Top 5% of Cognia Schools Worldwide

Coconino County Superintendent Cheryl Mango-Paget is pleased to announce that the Coconino County Accommodation district’s Tse’Yaato’ High School in Page, Arizona, has received Cognia’s highest honor as a 2022 School of Distinction. Considered the Gold standard in academic accreditation, this award recognizes Tse’Yaato’ High School as a “top-flight system”, an honor extended to the top 5% of schools worldwide each evaluation cycle.  

“We are honored, humbled, and proud to receive this remarkable recognition,” said the school’s principal Traci Parker, “Over the past 10 years, we have focused on the development and refinement of curriculum with systems of reflection of data and teaching strategies, the incorporation of learner profile data and technology in differentiated instruction with both academic and social-emotional supports, the expansion of career and technical education options, as well as the transition to cooperative learning and trauma informed practices.” 

Applicants Sought for Page Unified School District Governing Board Vacancy

Coconino County Superintendent of Schools Cheryl Mango-Paget is seeking applicants for appointment for Page Unified School District #8. 

Applicants must be Arizona registered voters and residents of the school district for at least one year prior to the date of appointment. Applicants or their spouses cannot be an employee of the district.

Student/workforce housing at CCC in Page taking shape

Coconino Community College alum Jessica Dodson was the first generation in her family to attend college. 

Living on the Navajo Nation, with no electricity or running water, she had to be creative in doing her homework, and the drive to the college in Page was long.

“It was difficult,” Dodson said. “But I focused on, ‘I’m doing it for myself.’”

If there had been student housing at CCC in Page when she was a student, her journey might have been easier. She’s certain it would help the educational journeys of students with experiences similar to hers. 

CCC healthcare programs in Page get boost from SRP

A Certified Nursing Assistant student needs important books and tools like a stethoscope and a blood-pressure kit.

An Emergency Medical Technician student needs vital CPR training as well as books and tools.

Thanks to a generous grant from SRP, Coconino Community College CNA and EMT students in Page will get that needed help. SRP awarded CCC $16,000 to help the students purchase books, training, tools, immunizations and more.

COVID-19 Testing and Flu Vaccinations Scheduled in Page

Coconino County Health and Human Services (CCHHS), in collaboration with Canyonlands Healthcare, will provide COVID-19 testing and flu vaccinations in Page, AZ on Tuesday, September 29 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The testing site will be located in the parking lot at 620 N. Navajo Drive, Page.

County announces free wireless hotspot in Page

Coconino County has installed a Wi-Fi hotspot allowing residents of Page and the surrounding areas to access internet without charge.

The hotspot is located between the Coconino County Health and Human Services Northern Region Office and Page Magistrate Court buildings at 467 Vista Avenue.
