Co-ops come in all sizes and many forms.
Did you know that the Associated Press is a co-op?
And so is our local credit union.
There are worker co-ops, housing co-ops, purchasing co-ops, and production co-ops. Any business—including child care, house cleaning, grocery store, or cafe–can be run as a co-op. 

Cooperatives can play an important role in building more equitable, just, and humane communities.  

We’ve invited 6 experts from across the western U.S. to talk with us about what it takes to build a successful co-op business. Learn what it takes to found and run a coop from people with firsthand experience.

This is a great chance to get your questions answered and meet others who are interested in this alternative business model.

Growing food at 7,000 ft with limited water resources is no mean trick. And yet, it is being done by R. Charlie Shultz. Shultz has been a pioneer in the field of integrating fish and plants for more than 20 years. He is Academic Director in the School of Trades, Technology, Sustainability, and Professional Studies at Santa Fe Community College where he teaches Controlled Environment Agriculture.

F3 wants to make you aware of the 3.5% Project that has just been launched locally by Flagstaff College. Through a combination of reading a novel that focuses on climate change, in-person and virtual discussions with a small group of fellow participants, and renowned guest presenters, the 3.5% Project goal is to create a “small group of thoughtful, committed individuals” who, working together, make big changes.

What if “the answer to climate change is organizing,” as Bill McKibben, co-founder of 350.org, recently said? And what if what we need is only 3.5% of the public actively engaged in making a change? Flagstaff College is launching the Flagstaff 3.5% Project because of the belief that both of these things are true.
