The Food Bank, is a non-sectarian, nonprofit organization that fights hunger by gathering and distributing food to sites that serve people in need. The organization has three locations in the Phoenix area and one in Flagstaff.
“I’m proud the Board of Supervisors adopted funding to help St. Mary’s Food Bank continue their mission to deliver meals to people who have fallen on hard times,” said Chair of the Board, District 5 Supervisor Lena Fowler. “The Food Bank provides meals for those in need throughout the County, not just for the residents of Flagstaff. I’m happy my colleagues were able to allocate district community grant funding that will help many people receive food.”
The Coconino Community Grant Program is provided through the Board of Supervisors to administer funding to community organizations that promote public purpose or public benefit in the areas of education, economic development or community development.
