FLAGSTAFF — The Sunnyside Neighborhood Association of Flagstaff Inc. celebrated its 19th annual Fiesta de Mayo on May 17 and 18, 2014 in Flagstaff, AZ.
The celebration this year was relocated from Ponderosa Park to the in the Greenlaw Village Shopping Center on Fourth Street, benefiting local storefront business and increasing visibility of the event.
The event this year included live entertainment, food provided by local businesses, craft artisans, a carnival and dancing after the festival at the Redwood Saloon.
Scheduled entertainment included Hurakan Kalmekak, The Wreckifiers, JHB Production, Classik, La Hija de Reyes, Jimmy’s Total Body Fitness, Pony Express, El Domador y su Imagen Grupo; Los Potros de La Sierra, Monico, DJ BabyShady, all at the Redwood Salon; Flagstaff Latin Dance Collective, Korcel Musical and Mariachi Lucerna from Glendale.
Also appearing was Miss Yavapai. The event was sponsored by APS, Findlay Flagstaff, Supervisor Elizabeth “Liz” Archuleta and the Law Offices of Gonzalez & Poirier, PLLC.
