FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff Planning and Zoning Commission will hold public hearings for the Southside Community Specific Plan on Wednesday, July 8 and 22, 2020. All documents and public meeting information will be available online at www.flagstaff.az.gov/southsideplan. The website has the plan documents, information about how you can participate, and a video giving an overview of the plan content and how it is used by the City. Due to COVID-19 precautions in place in Flagstaff, meetings will be held virtually.
The Southside Community Association and the City of Flagstaff have worked together on the plan for three years. Public hearings are the final step to adopt the plan as an official city policy. This extensive public engagement effort included canvassing residents and business owners, workshops, coffee chats, and on-the-street meetings. Comments for the public hearings can be submitted toCDfrontcounter@flagstaffaz.gov up until 3 p.m. July 22. Comments will be shared with the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council hearings as part of the final approval for the Southside Community Plan. The City Council has tentatively scheduled the public hearing for the Southside Plan for September 1, 2020 at 3 p.m.
