Sept. 8 — Fix-it Clinic to be held in Flagstaff

Location: Killip Elementary School, 2300 E. 6th Ave, Flagstaff, Ariz.

Date: Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018 from 10 a.m.– 1 p.m.

Details: The Sustainability Program holds semiannual Fix-it Clinics to help residents learn basic repair skills, save money and keep items out of our landfill. Volunteers with skills in soldering, electronics repair, electrical repair, sewing, woodworking or general tinkering will be available to help residents fix their broken household items. The last three clinics have seen a repair success rate of 75%.

Common items brought to previous clinics include toasters, fans, bikes, clothing, and lamps. A deconstruction table, where kids can take apart irreparable items and learn how they work, will be available. This event is free and open to the public.
