Sept. 16 — AARP Arizona Hispanic Connection radio program to focus on ‘Latinos in Health Professions’

Dear friend, saludos!

The subject of Saturday’s radio program will be LATINOS IN HEALTH PROFESSIONS. With the expertise of Dr. Adriana Perez, Dr. Martin Hernandez and three other guests we will discuss the importance of having Latino representation in health professions; we’ll talk about careers in this large field, process, length, cost, pay; and will highlight the great work being done in the field of nursing in Arizona, with special emphasis on that of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses Phoenix Chapter. Join the conversation and spread the word.

Our radio program tomorrow will be on RIGHTS OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. With the help of our guests, we will explain the Americans with Disabilities Act (in the context of the Civil Rights Movement). Several guests will be sharing their experience on living with a disability. Additionally, we will be promoting our Second Latino Disability Summit to take place on the 16th (see flyers attached). Hope you can join the conversation and spread the word.
