Coming up at Sedona Arts Center…
Summer Kids Camp
The Art of Filmmaking
June 3 – 14, 2019 (Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm)
Kelli Klymenko & Bryan Reinhart
SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE*

Summer Art of Filmmaking Camps at Sedona Arts Center provide a rich artistic environment for youth ages 10 to 14 yrs old. Instructed by Bryan Reinhart and Kelli Klymenko, students begin by deconstructing scenes from contemporary favorites, examining all the aspects that make a scene work. Students then develop their own story line to bring to the big screen.

Students will explore writing, story development, acting, camera work, lighting, editing, graphics and presentation. The process creates a great opportunity for students to discover new interests and skill sets. The camp culminates in a screening of the final film but students have the opportunity to create their own individual edit during camp from the footage they have developed together.

(Check out last year’s films on our YouTube channel here)

*Scholarship awards will pay 50% towards any Class or Workshop tuition. Scholarships are not available for international Field Expeditions or Painting in the Grand Canyon. The Sedona Arts Center awards scholarships to students only when funds are available.

Art Curator at L’Auberge de Sedona and owner of Goldenstein Gallery, Linda Goldenstein, invites the community to participate in completing plein air paintings or drawings in any medium, along the banks of Oak Creek at L’Auberge de Sedona. Artists will set up along the L’Auberge creekside and enjoy brilliant views of the creek, rocks, trees, and ducks. Artists can begin working upon arrival and stop at 11am. Finished works may be displayed on the creekside lawns using artist’s own easel and they may be for sale. The Arts Center will present an award at 11:15am and will process any sales from 11-11:30am.

As parking is very limited at the resort, Red Rock Magic Trolley will be shuttling artists and the public from the Sedona Arts Center lower parking lot to nearby L’Auberge resort, back and forth from 8am to 1pm, leaving plenty of time after the event for lunch at Cress on Oak Creek, the lovely creekside restaurant at L’Auberge.
