| Carrie Clayden is a native Californian, growing up in Los Gatos, CA. She received her Bachelor of Arts from UCSC in 1995 and now resides in Santa Cruz, CA. Carrie is an internationally known artist, having been represented by The Art Agency in London, JCOS in Los Gatos, CA, and Curated by the Sea in Capitola. Floral’s are Carrie’s mainstay, using her hands to create dancing petals never fails to delight her senses. Her painting style is semi abstract in nature, dreamy and ethereal in feeling, abstractions hinting at stories untold. The foreground and backgrounds negotiate and dance to an exquisite never ending narrative. A celebration of the advent of spring (Carrie’s birth month), the confidence of femininity and the fountain of rebirth, Carrie’s paintings exhibit a richness and depth as though each piece had been created over the course of many years. She teaches classes at the Santa Cruz Art League and has an enthusiastic following of students.

| Encouraged at a young age with oil painting lessons and a set of professional watercolors while growing up in NY State’s Hudson Valley, Christine Debrosky always knew she would be involved in art. Early in her career, she worked and exhibited extensively in watercolor, painting en plein air in all seasons, learning about color, light, and pigments. This, combined with access to world-class museums were an invaluable education.
She then took an eye-opening workshop in pastel, and worked almost exclusively in this medium, which earned her rainbows of ribbons and numerous exhibition opportunities, with such groups as the Pastel Society of America, the American Impressionist Society, and Societe des Pastellistes de France. She has earned signature status with American Women Artists, PSA, and was recently inducted in to the Master Circle with the International Association of Pastel Societies. Coming full circle, today she added oil painting to her repertoire.

| “Happily tucked away in my art glass studio in Sedona, Arizona, I am a visual artist, playing with light, color, heat and glass. These are the elements that help to create light transmission through translucent forms.
Over the years I have developed and refined many of my own techniques involving color combinations, glass combinations, hot-glass manipulation, custom findings, wire wrapping, wire embedding, grinding, and fire polishing which, I believe, give my jewelry creations their unique look and feel.
Part of the joy of working in the studio each day is combining positive and uplifting intentions with the creative inspirations I feel. This helps to infuse more meaning into my work for me, and many clients have commented on their appreciation of the good intentions which they feel are part of my dichroic glass jewelry. I am grateful to know from extensive feedback that women around the country enjoy my jewelry, and it gives me great joy to help bring light and beauty to the appearance of so many wonderful souls.”

| Sedona Arts Center is celebrating our 65th Anniversary this year! To celebrate, the Arts Center is showcasing the unique works of 35 artists and their interpretation of how and what numbers have impacted their lives in a special exhibition for the month of September. Held in the Art Barn at Sedona Arts Center, the exhibit will be open daily from 10 am to 5 pm and 12 to 5 on Sundays through September 28, 2023.
