FLAGSTAFF — As part of its 2014 Latin@ Heritage Month celebration, Inclusion and Multicultural Services at Northern Arizona University will present the screening of “Fruitvale Station” from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the Franke College of Business, Gardner Auditorium.
“Fruitvale Station movie is based on the real life story of Oscar Grant III on the day of his unfortunate death on New Year’s Eve in the BART train system in Oakland, CA,” organizers reported.
Faculty and staff will lead a discussion after the movie to discuss topics on diversity, racial profiling and the police. A candle light vigil will be held at the end of the program to honor victims.’”
