Riordan Mansion to hold annual Christmas Party on Dec. 10

FLAGSTAFF — Join Santa and Mrs. Claus for the annual Christmas party at the historic Riordan Mansion State Park in Flagstaff. Mrs. Claus will read stories and the real Santa will be on hand to hear Christmas wishes. There will be cookies, cider and crafts. Pie the Belgian Draft Horse will be on hand for wagon rides.

The party begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 11:00 AM. Carriage rides last until 3:00 PM thanks to the generous sponsorship of Horsemen Lodge, Northern Pines restaurant, Renco Roofing and A to Z Carriages. The event is open to the public and FREE!

The holiday fun doesn’t end after the party!

All through December, Celebrate Christmas in a traditional fashion by touring the Riordans’ historic homes decorated as they would have been 100 years ago with wreaths, garlands, greenery and a towering fir tree trimmed with hand-made ornaments.

Guided tours are given on the hour. Reservations are highly recommended.

holiday-at-riordan-mansion-02About Riordan Mansion: Riordan Mansion State Historic Park is open Thursday through Monday  at 10:30 AM. Guided tours of the mansion begin at the top of each hour with the first at 11:00AM and the final tour starting at 4:00. Riordan Mansion is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the winter.  Visitors are encouraged to call for reservations at 928-779-4395. The address is 409 West Riordan Road, Flagstaff, 86001.

Riordan Mansion is open through a collaborative partnership between Arizona State Parks, the Arizona Historical Society and Riordan Action Network (RAN), along with RAN’s fiscal agent, the Northern Arizona Pioneers’ Historical Society. Funding to operate and maintain the mansion comes from donations, admissions, gift shop sales, special events and grants.
