FLAGSTAFF— In recognition of April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Coconino Coalition for Children & Youth will present the 2020 Annual Prevention Conference and Luncheon — “Finding My Strength; Hope In Connection” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the High Country Conference Center, 201 W. Butler Ave., Flagstaff.

A full day of professional development and personal growth in a gorgeous mountain town…

We are calling those who are seeking to excel professionally, those who wish to bring healing to themselves and their community, individuals who are engaged and craving change, and to those dedicating their lives and careers to supporting others.

This jam-packed, one-day event has been designed to meet our mission. As such, we work extremely hard, and with much gratitude to our partners and sponsors, to make it value filled.

Keynote speaker Deanna Singh is an accomplished author (including Purposeful Hustle), educator, business leader, and champion for marginalized communities. She is the Founder of Flying Elephant and strives for social change. Her TEDx talk is: We All Have the Power to Build Bridges. Watch TEDx Talk HERE.

Plenary speaker Sandra Solano, MD, is an experienced public health professional, founder of Integro, and certified HeartMarth trainer; Dr. Solano has created a holistic wellness model that bridges the gap between science and complimentary medicine, through a new understanding of balance, connection, peace, and hope.

Luncheon keynote presenter Ursula Knoki-Wilson, community relations liaison officer for the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Chinle Service Unit (CSU), will talk about “Walking with My People,” describing her personal journey using Navajo traditions for healthy living with self, family, community and environment.

The highlight of the luncheon is the presentation of the Annual Caring for Children Awards.
