FLAGSTAFF — On Tuesday Oct. 24 at 4 pm in LA 120, Northern Arizona University, Laura St. John, director of the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project, will give a presentation about the legal challenges facing Latin American immigrants and refugees in the U.S. and Arizona. Specifically, the Florence Projects defends the legal rights of detained immigrants in Eloy and Florence, as well as unaccompanied child migrants. This presentation will provide an excellent opportunity for students, community members, faculty and staff to become more informed about the facts of an issue that, while mentioned in certain circles frequently, is often done so inaccurately.
