FRIDAY & SATURDAY

OCTOBER 12 & 13, 2018

6 PM to 10 PM Nightly

Join us this Friday and Saturday at this amazing star gazing event for the whole family on the historic Navajo Bridge over the Colorado River in Marble Canyon, AZ.

Winter constellations emerge in October and for the Navajo people, October brings the New Year, winter storytelling and ceremonies. Come learn with us about our solar system and cultural teachings.

 Nightly Presentations include:
  • Astro Photography 101 by John Adler
  • Worldview in the Stars by Tyler B. Wood
  • Navajo Cultural Teachings by Dr. Henry Fowler

Other events include:

  • Nighttime telescope viewing
  • Guided Walks and Talks
  • Junior Ranger Activities
  • Solar Viewing

Some of these activities will be taking place during the day and others at night. See the the full schedule here at GlenCanyonNHA.org for event times.

Local astronomers are welcome to bring their telescopes to set up on the bridge!
