City Council Candidate Forum:  This Saturday 9:00 am (doors open at 8:30 am)   Speed dating format!Join Friends of Flagstaff’s Future (F3) as community members ask questions and hear answers from the seven candidatesrunning for City Council: incumbent Austin Aslan, and Lori Matthews (both listed on the ballot), and the five official write in candidates: Kevin Dobbe, Sean Golliher, Deborah Harris, incumbent Khara House, and incumbent Regina Salas.

The Forum is being held at Trinity Heights Methodist Church, 3600 N. Fourth St. on October 1.

This forum is designed to allow you to interact directly with all seven council candidates via a speed dating format. The candidates will be rotating to each group of participants and answering their questions for 10 minutes, then rotating to the next group, and so on.

There are four City Council seats to fill with the General Election on November 8. This means that Flagstaff residents need to vote for some of the write-in candidates as only two candidates are listed on the ballot. To vote for a write in candidate, you must fill in the bubble next to the line where you will write the candidate’s first and last name. Write in candidates must receive at least 1602 votes to be seated.

In addition, F3 has asked the council candidates six written questions about topics of importance to F3 and our members. Read the candidates’ answers to F3’s questions on our website.

Please come with you questions for the candidates on Saturday morning!

Michele James
Executive Director
