FLAGSTAFF — NAU Latin American Studies will present a poetry reading by Todd Miller from his latest book “Build Bridges not Walls: A Journey to a World without Borders” (City Lights: 2021) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 in LA120.

Todd Miller has written some of the most important books about US border policies, issues of mass migration and climate change, including: Border Patrol Nation: Dispatches from the Front Lines of Homeland Security (City Lights, 2014), Storming the Wall: Climate Change, Migration, and Homeland Security (City Lights, 2017), Empire of Borders: How the US is Exporting its Border around the World(Verso, 2019). This is an opportunity for you, your students, and community members to hear one of the world’s foremost experts on the most pressing issues of our time. This event will be in-person and on Zoom.
