Northern Arizona University’s proposed tuition and mandatory fees for the 2016-17 academic year maintain the Pledge guaranteed tuition program, resulting in no tuition increase for 96 percent of continuing undergraduate students on the Flagstaff campus.
“We hold true to our commitment to educate, discover and serve, even in the face of funding challenges,” said NAU President Rita Cheng. “NAU is mindful of the costs for students and families and is focused on continuing to provide high quality education for all Arizonans, preparing graduates with the skills they need to enter high demand fields and contribute to the state’s evolving workforce.”
Fall tuition for incoming undergraduates, all graduate students and students in NAU Extended Campuses programs includes a moderate increase. NAU also proposes an initiative related to fees that will move toward greater consistency among academic programs where appropriate, provide increased transparency for students and maintain and enhance programs with experiential learning components.
If approved, total tuition and mandatory fees for incoming resident undergraduate students starting on the Flagstaff campus in the fall of 2016 would be $10,764, with the base tuition guaranteed for four years.
