FLAGSTAFF — New adaptive playground equipment and rubberized surfacing will be installed at Guadalupe Park beginning May 31. The new equipment and surfacing will replace the 18-year-old play structure. The use of rubberized surfacing will improve accessibility while complying with fall protection standards. The playground design was one of four designs presented to the La Plaza Vieja Neighborhood Association who assisted in selecting the new play structure.
The playground will be closed during the installation of the new equipment and rubberized surfacing. The playground is scheduled to reopen on July 2. Parks with playground equipment within walking distance of Guadalupe Park include: Old Town Springs Park (913 W. Lower Coconino) and Thorpe Park (191 N. Thorpe Road).
