FLAGSTAFF — NAU Latin American Studies will present “No More Deaths — No Más Muertes” training from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 at Liberal Arts 120.
This educational workshop will include an overview of border history and the formation of the humanitarian organization, No More Deaths, organizers reported.
Participants will learn about the legal, ethical and practical issues involved with providing humanitarian aid in the Sonoran desert. Speakers will include Christa Sadler, Robert Neustadt, Maria Aparicio, Sophie Smith, Cameron Jones and Richard Davis. After having participated in the workshop, participants will be eligible to volunteer for No More Deaths on the border and/or in the Phoenix Table Top Mesa area. This training is free and open to the public. Donations to No More Deaths accepted.
