The big tent is also going up, getting ready for Shakespeare performances this weekend and the Gala on June 22. The Discovery Camp village is also getting put in order for the start of summer camps on June 10.

Thirsty Thursdays return with Tha ‘Yoties

Free for members/$6 nonmembers
Put on your dancing shoes and bring the family. Tha ‘Yoties open the lineup of summer music on Thursday evenings in MNA’s Golightly Courtyard. Remember to bring cash for dinner and drinks. And kids get thirsty too, so there are always kid appropriate drinks and activities. If you’re not a member, it’s time to become one!

DesertArtLAB: Ecologies of Resistance

The DesertArtLAB interdisciplinary art collaborative transformed a tract of blighted land into a thriving dryland ecosystem with native plants and Native voices. As part of our 90th year celebrations, this exhibition highlights nine young to midcareer artists who are doing interesting, exploratory work in sculpture, printmaking, fashion design, silverwork, landscape painting, and mixed media. 90 Years of Ideas

The Museum of Northern Arizona was founded 90 years ago with some big ideas – that a museum can be core to the culture of a community; that science, art, and culture belong together in one museum; that a museum can and should advocate and educate. New cases for old bones
Thanks to a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, our paleontology department has been hard at work installing new rolling cabinets to provide better storage for the fossil collection. Read all about it. The grant covers half the needed cabinetry. Help with the other half by making a donation and specifying “paleontology” in the notes.

The Bookstore stays open during Thirsty Thursdays, so if you need a new reusable mug for eco-friendly sipping during Thirsty Thursday, pick up one of the stainless steel mugs.
