The Arizona Rural Women’s Health Network (AZRWHN) is leading a consortium addressing SUD/OUD impacting women of childbearing age in Northern Arizona, called the Northern Arizona Consortium for Rural Opioid Services for Women’s Health (NAZCROSWH) project. The service area spans three counties in northern Arizona (Mohave County, Coconino County, and Navajo County) with a focus on the following communities and surrounding areas: Colorado City, Fredonia, Page, Tuba City, Hopi Tribe, Kayenta and Chilchinbeto. With the help of members who live and work in these communities, NAZCROSWH was able to create a Community Needs Assessment and Gap Analysis. Our next step is to use this assessment and create a strategic plan to identify how Northern Arizona can improve prevention, treatment and recovery services for women.
