March 8 — GROWING PAINS: How can Flagstaff and NAU work together to manage and mitigate the impacts of rapid growth?

FLAGSTAFF — Join Northern Arizona University and the City of Flagstaff Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Museum of Northern Arizona’s Branigar-Chase Auditorium for a community conversation on the impacts of growth at NAU and in the region. Space is limited to 100 participants, and pre-registration is required. Register online at https://flagnau.eventbrite.com. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the conversation begins promptly at 6:00 p.m.

The City of Flagstaff and Northern Arizona University are experiencing significant growth in population and enrollment. What is driving this growth, will it continue, and how can community and university leaders work better together to manage and mitigate its impacts?

The conversation will be hosted by United Way of Northern Arizona CEO Steve Peru. Presenters will include Jim Babbitt, State Senator Kate Brophy McGee, Board of Regents President Eileen Klein, NAU President Dr. Rita Cheng, and City of Flagstaff Mayor Coral Evans. New Flagstaff City Manager Barbara Goodrich will also be available to help answer questions.
