FLAGSTAFF — The city of Flagstaff will host a public open house for the community evaluation and creation of possible policies for the Southside Community Plan. The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on March 30 at the Murdoch Center (203 E Brannen Ave).
The open house will start with a short presentation. After the presentation, participants will be encouraged to present their ideas surrounding historic preservation and neighborhood character, business and live-work, cultural and public spaces, parking, growth and change, emergency preparedness, better transportation and the creation of a vision statement. Ideas presented during this open house will inform future discussions of neighborhood goals and policies.
Starting in April, city staff will be hosting weekly office hours for the public to further discuss Southside community planning. These office hours, held at various businesses throughout the neighborhood, will be posted regularly on the project website at www.flagstaff.az.gov/southsideplan.
More information on the effort so far, the neighborhood and the upcoming involvement opportunities can be found on the project website, or by submitting comments to Sara Dechter, Comprehensive Planning Manager at (928) 213-2631 or sdechter@flagstaff.az.gov.
