FLAGSTAFF — Keeping Flagstaff Together will hold full-day training session on Saturday, March 11 at Killip Elementary School, 2300 E. 6th Ave., Flagstaff.
The group held its first meeting at Killip on Feb. 18 with Tucson attorney Cowan talking about the successful model that they have been using, “Keeping Tucson Together.”
“After a very productive meeting a couple weeks ago it is time for us to take the next steps to help protect our community.
Attorney Margo Cowan will be joining us again on Saturday March 11 at Killip Elementary School to guide us in forming a free legal clinic, and to train us in what we can do to protect people from deportation. This will be a full day, hands-on training (9:00 am – 12:00 pm, a one-hour lunch break, and then from 12:00 – 5:00pm). If you cannot come for the full day, come for the part when you are available. There will be a two simultaneous trainings, one in English and one in Spanish, so if you know people from the Spanish-speaking community please invite them!
“I look forward to seeing many of you on March 11th. All are welcome–thank you for helping to spread the word.
Let’s unite to keep our community together!”
