FLAGSTAFF — Latino Conservation Week 2019 runs from July 13th- the 21st. This year just like last year Latino Outdoors Partnered up with the Coconino NF to host hikes, walks, and educational programming that supports our Latinx community and provides bilingual events!

Join Us in Celebrating Latino Conservation Week
Come learn about Geology at Red Mountain!
Latino Conservation Week is an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and learn how you can help protect our land, water and air. To celebrate LCW 2019, the Coconino National Forest in partnership with Latino Outdoors will hold a hike to the beautiful Red Mountain, a wild and scenic area that is a favorite family outing. Come learn about geology on this easy 3-mile round trip hike with Latino Outdoors Outings Leader Ricardo Escobar. Bring at least 32oz. of water, snacks, and sun protection. Come learn about Smokey Bear and Fire in the Forest!
Latino Conservation Week is an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and learn how you can help protect our land, water and air. To celebrate LCW 2019, the Coconino National Forest in partnership with Latino Outdoors will hold a Smokey Bear Story time and teach about the effects of fires in the forest. Come be a wildland Firefighter for a day! This event is family friendly! Come over and meet you neighborhood Ranger and go home with some FREE Smokey Bear goodies!
