National Emergency Test

No, you didn’t miss them.  The national tests of the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) and Emergency Alert System (EAS) scheduled for earlier this week were postponed because of ongoing relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. The tests have been rescheduled for Wednesday October 3.

Brain Food: DACA Student Initiative Offers Guidance To Teachers
Finding a path to college can be especially tough for children of undocumented immigrants. They might not know who to talk to or if they should share their immigration status with teachers. Now, a group of students at Northern Arizona University has put together a training course to help local teachers guide DACA students through the college application process. Learn more at KNAU.org.
