FLAGSTAFF — The Jay Lively Activity Center in Flagstaff, which is the City’s ice rink, will begin a tiered reopening on Oct. 12 at 12 p.m. The center will only open to the following groups: Flagstaff Avalanche High School Hockey, Flagstaff Figure Skating Club, Flagstaff Youth Hockey Association, and Just for Fun Hockey Club, based on rental agreements and ice time reservations. During the first tier of reopening, the ice arena will not be open to the general public.
The following are reopening requirements and COVID-19 precautions for the center:
- Masks and physical distancing are required in all areas of the building including while on the ice surface. A maximum of 20 participants will be allowed at a time.
- Spectators are not be permitted.
- Temperature checks will be taken prior to entering the facility and are required for all participants.
- The locker rooms and lobby area will be closed, come dressed to play. Limited seating will be available to put on/take off skates.
- Food consumption will not be permitted in the building; only personal water and sport beverages will be allowed.
Participants who are experiencing COVID like symptoms or come in contact with someone who has tested positive are not allowed to participate at Jay Lively Activity Center for 14 days.
