FLAGSTAFF – Week four of Immigration Awareness Month at Northern Arizona University will open with a discussion by Linda Green, director for Latin American Studies at the University of Arizona, on “Liberalism, National Security and Migration: Notes from the Border-lands of the American Southwest,” at 7 p.m. Monday, April 21 in the Health Learning Center Building Room 2405, Northern Arizona University.
Other upcoming events include:
• A talk by Demetria Martinez will be presented by Latin American Studies and No More Deaths — NAU at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 in the Cline Library Auditorium.
• The screening of “The Graduates” will be presented by Latin American Studies and No More Deaths — NAU at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24 in Liberal Arts 136.
• The discussion “The Persecution of Ethnic Studies” will be presented by Northern Arizona University’s Latin American Studies and No More Deaths — NAU at 6 p.m. Friday, April 25 in Liberal Arts 136.
• The “7th annual Dancing Across Borders” fundraiser will be presented by Latin American Studies and No More Deaths — NAU at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Tranzend Studio, 417 W. Santa Fe Ave., Flagstaff.
• “Globalization and Migration: NAU International Film Series Spring 2014” presents “In the Pit” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 30 in Liberal Arts 120.
