When you visit open houses in Flagstaff, you get a chance to see a home at your own pace.

Viewing a home with your agent is helpful because you can ask questions and get the expert feedback that a good real-estate agent is able to provide; but as much as you may love your agent, they are usually someone you only recently met and it’s hard to get a real feel for a home when you’re walking its halls and master bedroom with this “stranger.”

At an open house, there is an agent on-hand if you need to ask questions but, for the most part, you can meander through the home more naturally, able to dream and imagine you and your loved ones in this new dwelling.

If you are just beginning to search for a home, attending open houses in Flagstaff is a great way to see some homes and neighborhoods and also to interview each of the real-estate agents who are giving the open houses. You can get a feel for each of them before you hire one to represent you. If you are selling your Flagstaff home, meeting real-estate agents at their open houses is a great way to get an idea of how each real estate agent will market your home before you commit to hiring one.

If it is a neighbor’s house that you are viewing, you can ask the agent questions to get an idea of your own home’s value, helping you to decide if this is a good time to list your home.

All in all, there should be more open houses in Flagstaff. Many agents prefer not to do them as it is three hours away from the field. I do not view open houses this way and consider them to be an integral way to market a home and generate enthusiasm among buyers.
