Tonight Attainable Housing Bond!

Tonight is the last chance to share your thoughts on the Attainable Housing Bond before Council votes on its inclusion on the November 2018 ballot. If you would like the opportunity to vote on the Attainable Housing Bond, send a message to council@flagstaffaz.gov to share your story on housing problems in Flagstaff. You can also attend the Public Participation portion of City Council meeting (Item #10 on this evening’s agenda). If public speaking isn’t your style, you can “stand up” for the Attainable Housing Bond when F3 gives their statement. Show your support in any way that you can!

Looking for Help for Election Forum

Yes, we are at it again!  We are planning for our 2018 Flagstaff City Council and Mayoral Forum and we need your help.

This event, where residents learn about the candidates through face-to-face interactions, is a high point of election-year activities.   The event will be held in August and employs a “speed dating” format where candidates move from table to table and respond to participant’s questions.  We’re looking for volunteers to help plan the event and help it run smoothly.

If you have interest, please contact committee chair, David McCain, atdmccain@friendsofflagstaff.org

Community Events

Join United by Blue, Peace Surplus, the City of Flagstaff, Friends of Rio de Flag, Friends of Flagstaff’s Future, and Natural Restorations for their first ever joint waterway cleanup in Flagstaff, AZ! This cleanup is one of 20 that United by Blue is co-hosting nationwide this summer, from June-August, to establish community partnerships between their specialty retailers, conservation or municipal partners, and volunteers.

Join us as we contribute to the cleanup, restoration, and education work that the Friends of Rio de Flag and Natural Restorations do to keep Rio de Flag healthy and beautiful all year round. We will clean up trash and debris along the shoreline of the river, preventing it from flowing downstream and harming wildlife along the way. Join us for an evening of cleaning, games, and protecting the Rio de Flag ecosystem!

We want to hear from you!

If you have thoughts on any of the above, please e-mail Acting Executive Director Emily Melhorn, emelhorn@friendsofflagstaff.org so she can make sure YOUR VOICE is heard through F3!

Thank you for your membership, participation and advocacy!
