2014 Recap
This was an election year which meant a very busy 2014. We found ourselves on the front lines informing and engaging our community as well as fighting for policies that contribute to a livable community and opposing many that threaten it.
The major issues that F3 worked on in 2014 include:
- Fought hard to keep sustainability in the Flagstaff Regional Plan.
- Opposed relocation of a low-income trailer park and the development of a student dormitory housing at the Historic Neighborhood of La Plaza Vieja .
- Played a major role in the discussion about off campus student housing.
- Held a voter engagement campaign.
- Advocated for the protection of open space, continuation of Impact Fees, and the drafting of a relocation ordinance.
- Held over 27 community events and facilitated activities that served over 500 children, youth, and their families including the Trash To Treasure Tribute, recycled art workshops, trail and watershed cleanup ups, and more.
- Expanded our programs including Water Wise-promoting Water conservation and Zero Waste-providing free reusable tableware sets.
More details on all of these issues can be found on our website as well as our recently published annual report, The Voice. Copies can be found in your mailbox, at our office and around town!
2015 — What is on the horizon for F3?
