Please attend and, if you choose, make a public comment in support of keeping the Carbon Neutrality Plan in its current form. Many thanks to the citizens who attended and spoke at the Nov. 28th Council meeting! Chambers were packed with Carbon Neutrality Plan supporters and the many speakers were passionate about not modifying the Plan. Flagstaff citizens need to demonstrate our support again this Tuesday. Here’s What You Can Do: A) Attend the City Council meeting this Tuesday, Dec. 12th at 3:00 pm. We need everyone to attend and show your support for the Carbon Neutrality Plan. Please stay until the Public Participation agenda item is completed. B) Make a 3-minute (or less) comment to Council about why you support the CNP. To do this, arrive at Council Chambers at City Hall by 2:45 and fill out a comment card to indicate you wish to speak during Public Participation, Agenda Item #4. Hand the card to the City’s Clerk and then wait for your name to be called. C) Send an email to your City Council members about why you support the Carbon Neutrality Plan in its current form. F3 and many others in the community are concerned that a petition submitted by a group called “Flagstaff First” could undermine the city’s efforts to reduce emissions, mitigate, and adapt to climate change. Send an email about your concerns to council@flagstaffaz.gov. Be sure to emphasize your support for the Carbon Neutrality Plan in its current form.
