Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045 — 60-Day Public Review now open

FLAGSTAFF — The City of Flagstaff and Coconino County invite the community to participate in the 60-day public review of the Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045 by reading the draft, submitting comments, and attending events from now until Thursday, Dec. 19. Visit www.flagstaff.az.gov/regionalplan2045 to read the draft, as well as information about the Plan and upcoming events.

The Flagstaff Regional Land Use Plan 2045 sets high-level guidance for policy decisions over the next decade in the City of Flagstaff and surrounding areas of Coconino County. The plan covers a wide range of topics and is especially relevant for future land-use and development decisions. On Sept. 30, the Plan was endorsed by the Regional Plan Committee, made up of 25 citizens who met regularly over ten months to discuss each chapter as the draft Plan was developed. The 60-day public review period began Oct. 20 and ends Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. During this time, the City and County invite feedback from the community on the content of the draft plan. Comments made during this time will guide what is placed on next year’s 2025 November ballot to be voted on by City residents.

There are multiple ways to give feedback on the plan and participate in the review. The plan is available online via the Konveio platform, hosted by Coconino County, which allows for interactive comments to be pinned on the document and maps. Hard copies are available for review at City Hall, the Coconino County Community Development Office, the Downtown Library and the East Flagstaff Library.

Community members are invited to attend upcoming events during the review period, including:

  • Four topical workshops between November 13-18 to learn about the plan content and provide feedback in person.
  • Weekly drop-in office hours on Fridays between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at various locations throughout the community where you can speak to planning staff one-on-one.
  • An online webinar on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m.
