Flagstaff Police Department Citizens Liaison Committee to hold next public meeting on Jan. 11

FLAGSTAFF — The Flagstaff Police Department Citizens Liaison Committee will hold its next quarterly public meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at The Flagstaff Aquaplex, 1702 N. Fourth St., Flagstaff.

Marianne Sullivan, Senior Assistant City Attorney with the Flagstaff City Attorney’s Office, will present the session “Know Your Rights, Know an Officer’s Authority.”

The volunteer community group was formed following discussions with the community in early 2014 and is supported by a grant from the Arizona Community Foundation, the Flagstaff Community Foundation and the Forest Highlands Foundation.

Members work to improve the communications process between the department and the community, encourage community members to submit complaints without fear of retribution and provide a proactive informational forum to address community concerns when incidents and issues arise.

The entire community is invited to be a part of this meeting. Light refreshments will be provided. If special accommodations  are needed, please contact the Flagstaff Police Department at 928-779-3646 at least 48 hours in advance of the scheduled meeting date/time.
