Flagstaff Mayor selected to join Executive Committee

FLAGSTAFF — Flagstaff’s Mayor, Coral Evans was selected as a member of the League of Arizona Cities and Towns’ policy-making Executive Committee at the organization’s annual conference last week in Oro Valley, AZ.

The League of Arizona Cities and Towns is governed by a 25-member Executive Committee which is made up of mayors and councilmembers from incorporated cities and town across the state. Mayor Evans will serve on the Executive Committee a one-year term.

“It is an honor to be selected to represent Flagstaff and northern Arizona on the Executive Committee,” said Mayor Evans. “The League of Arizona Cities and Towns advocates for local priorities at the state level and is an important voice, one I am proud to contribute to.”

The League of Arizona Cities and Towns is a voluntary membership organization of the incorporated cities and towns in the State of Arizona. The organization focuses on representing the interests of cities and towns before the legislature. It was founded in 1937 to serve the interests of cities and towns and to preserve the principles of home rule and local determination.
