Adult & All-Ages Events
Write Night:April 26th at 6pm on Zoom. Celebrate National Poetry Month at Virtual Write Night! Write poetry (or anything else!) in community with other writers during five 10 minute speed rounds using unique prompts. Open to anyone 13+!
Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Training. Tuesday May 3rd. 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Downtown Piblic Library. This training will provide strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topics will include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues, and more.
Digital Protection Workshop. Are you concerned about scams, stolen passwords, or online personal security? Join us for this beginners workshop to learn about strong passwords, security settings, library account privacy, and more. Bring your technology device for on-the-spot help with updating passwords, changing security settings, and deleting old accounts and applications after the presentation. Seats are limited and registration is required. May 5th, 10:00 to 11:30 AM in the Downtown Library Community Room.

A Free Press: Cornerstone of Democracy. What happens when public trust in the media is eroded by sensationalism & fake news? Is non-partisan coverage still possible? Who is accountable when intentional misrepresentation occurs? Join us for a critical look at the impact of the media in a democratic society. Tuesday, May 10th, 5:30-7:00 pm Downtown Library Community Room
Poetry Outloud Reading & discussion group:Louise Gluck, 2020 Nobel Laureate. Outside on the Northwest Lawn. May 13th at 3pm.
Youth Events
Creation Station: Stories & Crafts. Wednesday April 27th and May 11th at 3:30 pm in the Downtown Library Community Room.
Spring Storytimes. March 2nd to May 12th. Baby Laptime: Tuesdays at 10am. Toddler Tales: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11am. Preschool Express: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am
Springtime Pajama Jam Storytimes. Every other Monday evening on Zoom. All ages. 6:30 to 7:00 pm. April 4th and 18th, and May 2nd
Anime Tales & Play. Ages 12-17 The to-go kits contain a snack voucher, an anime recommendation based on a theme, and other fun goodies! Do the activity in the kits to get a seraph of the end mini poster! Kits are available Mar. 28th, Apr. 18th, and May 9th. Each will be available for three weeks, while supplies last.
Curbside Activity Kits for Kids, Tweens, and Teens. New envelopes available at EFCL each Monday at 2pm from March 26th to May 21st, while supplies last.
Join LEGO club for an online building experience. Each week will be a different theme! (For ages 5 - 11) March 31st - May 12th Every other Thursday 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Family Storytime in the Park: Wednesdays, March 3oth to May 18th, excluding Arpil 20th, at 10:30 to 11:15. Bushmaster Eas Entrance, across from Thomas Elementary School, under the community ramada.

Thursday Night Book Club: The Ringmaster's Daughter. May 12th at 6pm at the Downtown Library and on Zoom.
Southwest Reads Book Club: Grand Canyon: A History of a Natural Wonder and National Park. May 23rd at 5:30pm in the DOwntown Library Community Room.
YA Happy Hour Book Club for Adults. Fable by Adrienne Young. May 27th at 5:30 in-person at LiminalFlagstaff and on Zoom.
Virtual LGBT Book Club, every other Monday at 6:30 PM on Zoom. June 13th: Some Girls Do.
