Join us for a Special Movie Screening to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! Guillermo del Toro Presents The Orphanage a J.A. Bayona Film. Laura (Belén Rueda) has happy memories of her childhood in an orphanage. She convinces her husband to buy the place and help her convert it into a home for sick children. One day, her own adopted son, Simón (Roger Príncep), disappears. Simon is critically ill, and when he is still missing several months later, he is presumed dead. Grief-stricken Laura believes she hears spirits, who may or may not be trying to help her find the boy. October 9th, 5:30-7:30pm Downtown Library Community Room. In Spanish with English subtitles. Wily Writers, weekly writing group. Starting August 7th! Make writing a habit with practice! With the use of prompts, time allotments, and group sharing, Wily Writers will learn more about their writing and support others along the way. You bring your writing tools and we'll bring the fun! Become a Friend to the Library. How Our Group Helps? We raise money to help support our library system and their many programs. How Do We Raise Money? Membership Dues, Year-Round Book Sales, Special Annual Book Sale, Merchandise Sales, Generous Donations. We also host a special event for local authors. At this event, the Copper Quill Award is presented to a local author chosen by past Copper Quill winners. Benefits to You: Support your library, Early Access to Members Preview Day of Annual Book Sale, 25% off books being sold through Friends at the library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.   Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
