Adult & All-Ages Events
Pride in Your Community. Queer Identities: Two-Spirit. Learn about the Two-Spirit identity presented by Katt Jim, 2SLGBTQ+ Advocate in Flagstaff. Ages 12+. Monday, August 12th from 6:30-7:30. Meeting at the East Flagstaff Community Library 3000 N. Fourth Street Suite 5 Flagstaff, AZ 86004.
Mandala & Pointillism Rock Painting. Join us for a lesson in pointillist rock painting! Learn how to create radial designs or simple representative art using dots and small strokes. Tuesday, Aug. 13th 6:00 to 7:00pm Downtown Library Community Room. Registration is required. Click here to register.
Senior Coffee Hour. The 2nd Wednesday of every month @ 10AM. Downtown Library N.W. Corner. Coffee and snacks provided! For older adults age 55+. Wily Writers, weekly writing group. Starting August 7th! Make writing a habit with practice! With the use of prompts, time allotments, and group sharing, Wily Writers will learn more about their writing and support others along the way. You bring your writing tools and we'll bring the fun! Every Wednesday at 6:00pm Downtown Library Northwest Corner.
Meet us at the trailhead: Little Spring. Saturday, August 17th at 9AM. Learn about local history, flora and fauna from the trail!

Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. 3rd Monday of every month. August 19th at 1pm Black Cake by Charmaine Wilkerson. Upcoming: Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt on September 16th.
Thursday Night Book Club: September 12 @ 6PM Bewilderment. October 10 @ 6PM Kindred. November 14 @ 6PM The Family Chao. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk and meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
Southwest Reads Book Club. No Spiritual Surrender by Klee Benally on September 25th. The late activist, Klee Benally writes of his experience agitating against colonial politics and working towards Indigenous autonomy. 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6:00pm Downtown Library Community Room.

Friends of the Library
Copper Quill Award 2024. Presented by the Friends of the Flagstaff Library. Nominations are open! The Friends of the Flagstaff Public Library is opening the Copper Quill Award nomination process to all residents of Coconino County. To nominate a local published author, scan the QR code or visit: flagstaffpubliclibrary.org/get-involved/friends/copper-quill Please read the requirements for submitting the application. Nominations are due September 30th.
Become a Friend to the Library. How Our Group Helps? We raise money to help support our library system and their many programs. How Do We Raise Money? Membership Dues, Year-Round Book Sales, Special Annual Book Sale, Merchandise Sales, Generous Donations. We also host a special event for local authors. At this event, the Copper Quill Award is presented to a local author chosen by past Copper Quill winners. Benefits to You: Support your library, Early Access to Members Preview Day of Annual Book Sale, 25% off books being sold through Friends at the library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more. Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
