The Life of Frances B. McAllister. Come hear about Frances McAllister, a remarkable woman who provided philanthropy and leadership to the Museum of Northern Arizona, Lowell Observatory, NAU, the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, and, of course, the Arboretum! Tuesday, June 25th, 6:00 - 7:00pm in the Downtown Library Community Room.
The Knitting Hour. Want to learn to knit? Need help with a knitting project? Members of the Fiber Artists of Northern Arizona Guild are available to help! All skill levels welcome! Fourth Friday of each month 1 to 3pm Downtown Library Northwest Fireplace.

Southwest Reads Book Club. Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey on July 24th.  Coming soon: No Spiritual Surrender by Klee Benally on September 25th. 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6:00pm Downtown Library Community Room.
Banned Book Club: The Outsiders. Tuesday Aug 6th, from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. Gang violence. Drug use. Family dysfunction. Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.

Adventure Begins at Your Library 2024. Preschool STEM Day. Downtown Library. Monday June 24th Wednesday July 10th. 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. Ages 3-5. Discover, innovate, and create with STEM. The possibilities are endless!
Adventure Begins at Your Library 2024. LEGO Club. Mondays 1:30 - 2:30 PM June 24th July 15th. Ages 5 +. Flagstaff Downtown Library. We bring the LEGO! You bring the imagination!
Adventure begins at your library 2024. Paws to Read. Sign up to read to a real therapy dog! Come to Youth Services, in person, to sign your child up for a reading time. This program is for kids reading independently. June 12th - July 24th. Mondays 2:00 - 4:00pm, Wednesdays 1:00 - 3:00pm. 20 minute sessions. Downtown Library

Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more.
