Upcoming Library Closures
Due to building maintenance, the Downtown Library will be CLOSED from Monday, April 22nd to Tuesday, April 30th. We apologize for the inconvenience. There will be a pop-up library with limited services like hold pickups in the City Hall council conference room, Monday through Friday, 9am to 4pm. The East Flagstaff Community Library is open regular hours.
Adult & All-Ages Events
Elections 101 Tour. Join us for a tour of the new Elections Center! We'll guide you through the entire election process, starting with ballot design, election equipment, and the role of Election Board workers in the process. Thursday April 25th at 3:00pm. Click here to register!
The Knitting Hour. Want to learn to knit? Need help with a knitting project? Members of the Fiber Artists of Northern Arizona Guild are available to help! All skill levels welcome! April 26th, 1 to 3pm,. Special location: East Flagstaff Community Library.
Book Clubs
Banned Book Club: Animal Farm. Tuesday May 7th, from 6 to 7pm in the Downtown Library Community Room. “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.” Join us to discuss the novel as well as the concepts of free speech and censorship as we encounter them today.
Thursday Night Book Club: The Man Who Could Move Clouds by Ingrid Rojas Contreras. May 9th at 6pm. June 13th at 6pm The Undocumented Americans. July 11th at 6pm Shutter. Pick up a copy of the book at the Downtown Information Desk. Meet in the downtown community room or online via zoom!
LGBT+ Book Club. May 13th at 6:30pm. An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon. East Library.
Senior Book Club at the Joe C. Montoya Community & Senior Center. May 20th at 1pm. 3rd Monday of every month. The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict. Upcoming: The Wishing Game on June 17th.
Southwest Reads Book Club. Mesa of Sorrows by James F. Brooks on May 22nd. Coming soon: Black Gun, Silver Star on July 24th and Desert Solitaire on September 25th. Wednesday of every other month at 6pm. Downtown Community Room.
Youth Events
LEGO Club. Mondays 3:45 to 4:45pm. March 25th, April 8th, 22nd (at EFCL), and May 6th. Ages 5+. We bring the LEGO! You bring the imagination! Flagstaff Downtown Library.
Spring 2024 Storytimes at the Flagstaff Downtown Library. Baby Lap Time March 26 to May 7 Tuesdays at 9:15. April 23 & 30 at EFCL. Toddler Tales March 26 to May 9 Tuesdays at 10am & Thursdays at 9:15am. April 23 & 30 at EFCl. April 25 cancelled. Preschool Express March 27 to May 9 Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10am. April 24 & 25 cancelled. Saturday Story Stop year-round at 10:30am for all ages. April 27 at EFCL.
Crafty Corner. Express your creativity at the East Flagstaff Community Library! Tuesdays, March 26 to May 7, 2024 from 3:30 to 4:30pm. Ages 3+.
Family Storytime 2024. Wednesdays March 27 to May 8 from 10:30 to 11:15am at the East Flagstaff Community Library.
Game Day. Video games & tabletop games. Ages 8-17. Wednesdays March 20 through May 8 from 2:30 to 4pm. At the East Flagstaff Public Library.
Technology Help
Free Technology Instruction and Resume Help. 30-minute,one-on-one instruction sessions available for help with introductory software, creating email accounts, downloading eBooks, résumé development, online job applications, and more. Click here to see available dates. Registration is required for all sessions.
